This path gave birth to his book The Universal Lens - A Journey to Transcend OCD, Anxiety and Mental Suffering. Henry also brings a world of real life experience, knowledge and has become a teacher or mindfulness in his daily life to those around him.

Hey everyone. I am John the one on the left and Henry is the one on the right. We have both suffered with Anxiety, Depression and I with OCD. We are 2 everyday guys who have a fresh take on life , that if your willing can take you beyond the thinking mind and give you a glimpse of that peace we all have access to. What started out as afternoon conversations over coffee gave birth to this crazy idea of making a podcast in hopes we can reach out and be that relatable voice for others. I have gone thru traditional therapy and have been on more spiritual journey for some time now. I have been advocating and practicing for over 7 years bringing my experience to the table. Along with Henry we will start shining a light on that presence behind thought that we all have but most don't see.

THE WAR ON LIFE. We have a mentality as a society that everything is a fight. The War on Crime, The War on Drugs, The War Poverty . Society preaches that all issues are wars. What happens when that mentality is adopted with anxiety depression OCD or any mental health issues? You enter a battle that cant be won because your fighting yourself. That need to win or be perfect and NOT RELAPSE keeps you forever engaged with the minds agenda. That "RELAPSE" is not a failure its practice. I also put relapse in quotes because is it actually a relapse or is it just your mind ebbing and flowing as it naturally does. What came first the chicken or the egg? While that question has been debated for years , we know that first comes the thought then the response physically and or emotionally. Why is that and what can we do about it? Henry and I get into it today discussing how it all starts as a thought. A simple benign innocent thought. One of thousands we have daily. How can a simple thought cause so much distress? Easy we give it credence. We believe it, we follow it to the future and the past. The question we don't ask which is not is it good or bad, but is this thought useful. If not we watch it and treat it as an unwanted guest that we invite in but do not need to engage.

Yeah, we all have things go our way or not our way. What happens when you classify these as lucky or not. Good Luck or Bad Luck. Its very easy to identify as Lucky or not. Well what if we do not LABEL events as either. We approach the event with a conscious mind not an egoic one. See how bad luck is not really bad luck unless we believe our thoughts and mind that it is and create and identity for it. Even unfortunate events which happen and sometimes back to back are not BAD LUCK. Same goes the other way, with "Good Luck" believe and identify you are lucky and what happens when your LUCK runs out..
